These automatic battery-operated salt and pepper grinders are powered by 6 x AAA batteries (not included). We recommend investing in . Unlike regular NiMh batteries, they won't lose power while your electric salt and pepper grinders are sitting unused and can maintain their charge for up to two years.

Very disappointed
Internal mechanism broke on both salt and pepper on second use. Was refunded cost of one out of the 4 purchased (initially purchased a second set for a gift) Also became aware of the same breakage happening to a friend's set!

I love it, but....
I bought mine a few months ago and it broke after just a few weeks. It just wasn't grinding anymore. I changed the batteries and it still didn't work. So I'm buying another one, and if that does the same, I will let you know!
