    Tips and Tricks

    • Raw ingredients can be cut thinly or thickly according to your taste, although you may obtain a nicer result when thinly slicing hard or fibrous ingredients such as beetroot or celeriac. 
    • For perfect cutting results, choose small fruits and vegetables that fit in the feeder. Larger ingredients will need trimming to fit. 
    • Fruits and vegetables should be ripe but firm to the touch. It is particularly relevant for softer ingredients, e. g. tomatoes avocado or mango.
    • To prevent them losing their shape through cooking and drying out in the oven, thickly slice or grate ingredients you will be cooking, unless you are looking for a particular result, such as oven-baked chips, for example. 
    • Cooked and frozen ingredients are not suitable for slicing or grating with the Thermomix® Cutter (with exception of cooked beetroot).
    • Juicy ingredients (e. g. watermelon, melon, tomatoes, kiwi) are only suitable to be sliced thickly. We do not recommend grating or thinly slicing.

    Very disappointed

    I'm glad that I didn't pay for this and it was one of the free gifts worth purchase.

    I absolutely love my Thermomix and think it is an amazing machine. Consequently, I had high expectations for the cutter but I'm extremely disappointed that they have released such an inferior product, considering how much it costs people to buy it.

    This cutter hasn't been thought out well. The feeding tube is way too small because it has been separated into 2 sections. This then means that you have to cut up your vegetables to get them to fit into the tube. It would be good to have a feeding tube that allowed you to fit a whole zucchini, carrot or small potato.

    Secondly, there needs to be an in-between thickness for the grater and slicer. The smallest is super fine and the thickest is just too coarse.

    Also, I find it very strange that this attachment is not recommended to be used to grate cheese.

    As a result, I barely use it and would not recommend it.

    I think that it would a gesture of good will if the company released another blade size and lid with a larger feeding tube.

    Great cutting accessory

    I hate cutting up vegetables, but this accessory makes it all so easy. I've already whipped up a coleslaw in record time and plan to use it a lot for salads this summer.
