Lift your steam cooking and healthy eating game with a steaming trivet in your TM7 Varoma®. It’s a surefire way to get more tender, juicy and nutrient-packed fish, meat and veggies into your weekly meal plan, and your favourite steamed pudding to sweeten the deal.

Designed to maximise steam circulation in your TM7 Varoma® dish, this custom-fit stainless-steel trivet cooks gently and evenly. When tested in the Thermomix® kitchen, it melted hearts with Black Forest pudding steamed in the Varoma® ramekins. But we especially love how it takes larger cuts of meat (that can block the steaming vents) to next-level tasty and tender, like whole steamed chicken and fish, and our fan-favourite coffee-rubbed beef recipe.

Get this versatile addition on your steaming dream team, and it’ll happily go to work on your countertop as a cooling rack or trivet to protect your surfaces from hot pans.

Clean cooking with less cleaning up! What’s not to love? Put it straight in your dishwasher or soak it in warm water and mild detergent to remove stuck-on food with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh, abrasive cleaning products. We recommend adding a light coating of oil before cooking to prevent fish and meat from sticking.

How can I use the Varoma® steaming trivet?

Pop it in the Varoma to lift large cuts of meat above the steaming vents. This keeps the steam circulating to raise the core temperature slowly and cook evenly.

It’s also perfect for holding pudding moulds and the Varoma® Ramkins above the steaming vents to let the steam work its magic on your favourite sweet treats.

And it doubles as a sturdy cooling rack for bakes and a trivet to protect your benchtops from hot pans and cookware.

To give you some inspo, we’ve triple-tested the trivet with all of these Cookidoo recipes:

Coffee-rubbed beef

All-in-one chicken dinner

Layered chicken dinner

Teriyaki deli chicken

Prawn and trout terrine with horseradish cream

Spanish flan

Whole cauliflower with pea purée

What is the best way to operate the Thermomix steamer rack?

We had the steamer rack made to fit the Varoma® TM7 dish, so you can simply slip it into the base of the dish and place your proteins, veggies or pudding moulds on top. To prevent fish and meat from sticking, lightly coat the rack with oil before cooking.

Is it possible to steam garden-fresh vegetables using the trivet?

Absolutely. We recommend pairing the trivet with our Varoma® Steaming Mesh Mat to prevent your side of veggies from slipping through the gaps.

Can this stainless steel steaming rack go in the dishwasher?

Yes. It’s safe to put the steaming rack straight in your dishwasher once it’s cooled. For stubborn, stuck-on foods, just give it a quick soak in warm water and mild detergent before putting it in to wash.

What are the specific dimensions of this Thermomix kitchen accessory?

It’s custom-made to fit the shape and inner dimensions of the TM Varoma® dish, measuring 23 cm in length and 17.5 cm wide. To keep the steam circulating above and below larger cuts of meat or a whole chicken, we set it to a Goldilocks height of 1 cm. Not too high. Not too low. Just right.
