Home sausage making means there’s not a sausage of preservative, additive, fat or low-quality fillers that you get in store-bought varieties. And unlike most sausage filler and stuffer kits made from plastic or aluminum, we’ve made our home sausage maker from durable 304 stainless steel to meet international food standards, sized perfectly for easy use, with no fiddly parts to assemble and clean.

We’ve also catered for everyone’s tastes with three attachable nozzles so you can make perfectly-sized breakfast sausages, or big juicy bangers, or even strips of your very own homemade jerky. We’ll leave the rest to you to decide. Between two slices of bread, or in a bun. Tomato sauce or mustard. Onions on top or underneath.

Pump out a batch of your family’s favourite beef, chicken, pork, veggie or vegan sausages and they’ll keep in your fridge for up to two days, or in your freezer for up to three months. So simple, you’ll wonder why you ever bought sausages at the store before. And if you’re ready to stretch your home sausage making skills a little further, experiment with fresh local seasonings and try dry cured sausage, chorizo and salami.

Knock the humble sausage sizzle out of the park! Get creative with your seasonings, use up your leftover meats and veggies, and enjoy the most fun you’ll will ever have in the kitchen. But before you begin, read these instructions in full and make sure your sausage maker is thoroughly washed and dried ready for use. 

Make your filling 

Grab some guided Thermomix cooking inspo from Cookidoo, like spiced beef sausages and vegetarian breakfast sausages. Or make up a batch of your family’s favourite beef, chicken, pork, veggie or vegan sausage filling recipe. And if you’re ready to stretch your skills a little further, give some dry cured sausage, chorizo and salami recipes a go. 

Load your filling

  • Hold the plunger release leaver down and pull gently on the plunger release knob to pull the plunger through to the end of the barrel. 
  • Unscrew the nozzle cap to open the end of the barrel. 
  • Take a cup of sausage or jerky mix, shape it into a roll narrow enough to fit into the barrel and push into the open end of your sausage maker. 
  • Repeat until the barrel is full. 

Attach a nozzle 

  • Choose one of the three attachable nozzles – the small one for breakfast sausages, the large one for big juicy bangers, or the flat one for jerky. 
  • Place into the nozzle cap and screw onto the end of the barrel. 

For sausages… 

  • Slip your casing onto the nozzle and tie a firm knot in the end. 
  • Squeeze the trigger with a gentle, even pressure to pump your sausage mix onto the casings. 
  • Take care not to over-fill your casings, so they won’t break when you start twisting to make your links. 
  • Tie a knot in the other end of your casing, then twist to make your links. 

For jerky… 

  • Spray or brush your tray with a light coat of oil. 
  • Squeeze the trigger with a gentle, even pressure to pump strips of jerky mix onto your tray. 
  • Place your tray/trays of jerky into your oven or dehydrator. 

Cleaning and care instructions 

To keep your Home Sausage Maker looking and pumping at its best, we don’t recommend putting it in the dishwasher. Before first use and after every use, handwash thoroughly in hot soapy water, using a brush to clean the inside of the barrel and leave to air dry on a tea towel.

chicken sausages and Beef Sausages

the recipes for both are easy to follow Chicken and Caramelised onion sausages are delicious but a little dry as are the boerwars, these were very dry maybe we need to increase thee fat or at least double it, both were flavoursome and the Sausage maker was easy to handle once we got the hang of it

SAUSAGE MAKER

Looooove the sausage maker. I have made the Chicken and Caramelised onion sausages recipe on cookidoo and used the Kafta recipe also on cookidoo and turned them into sausages. So much easier than cooking on skewers under the griller. They were both a huge hit.

Sausage maker...what a gem!

Its brillant! Love it! Made 2 of the recipes from the sausage book on cookidoo to which i have saved the book onto my saced recipes as i intend to make them again and again and the other recipes in the book that i have made yet! The utensil is so easy to use and does a professional job...one would think a butcher made the sausages ! Thankyou Thermomix!

Tricky to use

I like the sausage maker as we are huge jerky fans in this house. The problem I have is with how much mixture ends up behind the plunger during use. It requires the machine to be disassembled during use to retrieve the mixture. This can be messy. Also the ***** holding the plunger plates in place seems to come off very easily despite my attempts to put it on as tightly as possible. It is fiddly, but does make great jerky.

Sausage Maker

I found the gadget a little hard to handle ...its hard to ***** the lid and nozzles on as it wants to cross thread but once you have it going its fabulous

was also surprised that there were no instruction on how to assemble and use had to actually print these up ourselves

proof will be in the pudding as we are having Sausages for dinner tonight
