As we celebrate 25 years of Thermomix® in Australia, 14 years in New Zealand and 55 years worldwide, we’re reflecting on the stories that have shaped us along the way. Some Thermomix® stories begin with a cooking demo. Others start with a recommendation from a friend.
For Alexa, it all began with a cookbook — and a moment of curiosity that would go on to shape more than a decade of cooking, connection and community.

Then
Long before smart screens and Guided Cooking, Alexa was already deeply immersed in food. A chef by trade, she had spent more than twenty years working in the food industry, cooking for countless people — including the Queen. Food wasn’t just her job; it was her passion.
Back in 2010, while flicking through a cookbook, one small detail caught her attention. Almost in passing, Thermomix® was mentioned. One line. One reference. One spark.
She didn’t know exactly what a Thermomix® was — but she knew she wanted one.
That curiosity turned into experience in 2013 while visiting her sister-in-law in Newman, Western Australia. Sitting on the kitchen bench was a TM31. Within minutes of using it, Alexa was hooked.
“It just made sense,” she says. “The way it worked, the efficiency, the results — it felt intuitive.”
In 2014, after the birth of her first child, Alexa struck a deal with her husband: a Thermomix® as a push present. A week after her daughter was born, she booked her Cooking Demo and then waited patiently for the release of the TM5.
That first Thermomix® quickly became part of everyday life. Not just for cooking, but for navigating new motherhood, busy days and feeding a growing family with confidence.

Now
Fast forward to 2019, life shifted and Alexa and her family moved to Newman permanently, a remote town in the Pilbara where community is everything and access can’t always be taken for granted. Now with four daughters aged between 4 and 11, Thermomix® became a constant in family life — supporting busy routines, shared meals and moments around the kitchen bench.
That same year, Alexa made a decision that would transform her Thermomix® journey yet again — she became a Thermomix® Consultant. And what began as a way to stay connected to her love of food soon grew into something much bigger.
It’s about empowering people to feel confident in their kitchens. It’s about bringing families together at the end of the day. It’s about memories made while something simmers, blends or bakes in the background.
“I’ve seen people who thought they couldn’t cook create dishes they never imagined they’d make,” Alexa says. “And experienced cooks are just as amazed by how much time and money they save.”
Having recently stepped into the role of Junior Team Leader, Alexa is now focused on growing her Thermomix® team across the Pilbara, supporting others in regional and remote areas to discover what’s possible when cooking feels achievable and rewarding.

Always
Over the years, Alexa has cooked her way through generations of Thermomix® — from the TM31 to the TM5, TM6 and now the TM7. While the technology has evolved, what’s stayed constant from then to now is the connection it creates.
Living and working in a remote region, Alexa sees firsthand how Thermomix® can open doors — making cooking simpler, reducing stress and helping people feel capable, no matter where they live.
“My dream is to continue building a strong, connected Thermomix® community,” she says. “To help people cook with confidence, creativity and joy — and to inspire others through my own journey.”

Then. Now. Always.
From her first encounter with a TM31 to being part of the Consultant community and sharing her passion with customers, Alexa’s story is a reminder that while Thermomix® continues to evolve, the heart of it remains the same: people, connection and the memories made around food — yesterday, today and always.
