Our Recipe Development team really put the squeeze on these, testing and refining the design to create the perfect professional-grade piping bags you can use again and again. The non-slip textured outer surface gives you a firm grip and greater control, while the inside is perfectly smooth, non-stick and seamless for easy filling and cleaning. And we’ve ditched the plastic icing tips in favour of quality, durable stainless steel. 

This set of eight metal nozzles will set you up with all the pros’ go-tos. A large and twisted star for swirls, shells and beaded boarders, mini pavlovas and meringues or duchess potatoes. A small open star for dainty little rosettes and shells. A large round nozzle for piping thick swirls or filling pastries and doughnuts. A small round nozzle for writing and cookie decorating. And three ruffle ball piping tips for putting those Insta-worthy buttercream ruffles and ribbons or marshmallow icing waves on your cupcakes and big celebration cakes. So much quicker and easier than rolling fondant cake ruffles or ribbons by hand, and your Thermomix can whip up a perfect batch of buttercream in minutes!

Super strong and durable, our reusable piping bags are made from food-safe, BPA-free, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), making them suitable for hot and cold fillings. They’re heat resistant to 80°C, ideal for piping mashed potato pie tops, and suitable for freezing your buttercream frosting for later use (withstanding temperatures as low as -40°C).

Using a coupler saves time and mess when you’re changing the metal nozzles. Simply push the coupler base down inside the piping bag until the narrow end extends out from the bottom of the bag. Place the nozzle over the exposed end of the coupler base, then add the coupler ring over the nozzle and tighten to secure the ring in place. If you’re a beginner, don’t stress it, we’ve printed the instructions on the piping bags. So, you’ll always have these steps handy for your next bake.

To fill, pop your piping bag inside a jug or tall glass, fold the edges over the rim, half fill the bag, twist the opening and push the filling down towards the tip to remove any air bubbles. We like to seal off the top with a food bag clip, that way we keep our hands focused on applying even and uniform pressure and directing the tip.

Get your buttercream icing in the Goldilocks zone – not too soft and not too firm – with our triple-tested, just-right Thermomix buttercream recipe. Make it too firm, and your mix will be too hard to squeeze out of your piping tips evenly. Make it too soft, and your ruffles and swirls will collapse in a messy heap. And if you’re switching your colours, marbling or piping rainbows, always clean your piping bags and metal nozzles before starting a new batch.

Made of durable stainless steel, the icing tips are tough enough to go in your dishwasher cutlery basket to clean. But the bags and couplers are hand-wash only. Turn the bags inside out, rinse them thoroughly in hot, soapy water and leave them to air dry completely before storing them away.

Take extra care to avoid using sharp utensils and harsh, abrasive cleaners and your reusable piping bags will last a lifetime of birthday cakes!

We recommend washing all parts thoroughly in warm water and mild dish soap before first use, or if your piping bags and tips have been in storage for a while.
