The first time you use the Wooden Pastry Shaper, you’ll get that aha! moment. Then every time you use it, you’ll get that yaaass! moment. You’ll love how quickly and simply it shapes your pastry for pies, quiches, tarts and tartlets, and how perfectly it fits both of our rose gold muffin trays. Yes, we had both ends made to measure.

You know that life’s so much sweeter when you have your Thermomix to save you time making the perfect pastry – well, our beautifully simple Wooden Pastry Shaper is the cherry on top. Some call it a dough tamper or tart tamper, a pastry shaping or a pastry cup maker. We call it our ultimate hack tool.

No fuss, no sticking, no ripping, no fiddling, just dust with a little flour for a smooth, perfectly-formed pastry cup every time.

Simply roll a small ball of pastry, pop it into the cup of your muffin tray, gently press down with the right sized end of the Pastry Shaper, then gently roll in a circular motion to even out the sides and bottom of your pastry cup, and you’re done.

Please note this Wooden Pastry Shaper does not include the rose gold muffin trays.

Worked better than first thought

Used on both pastry and minced meat to make cupcake/muffin shells. Worked on silicone moulds too. I oiled the shaper prior to use, and let set. Worked on dry pastry with no issues, and whilst using the meat, had to re-oil each time, to stop sticking. Pretty chuffed with it.

good size for smaller bakeware

Have used this for small pasty casings and it has proven very useful. Just note that it is made of wood and will absorb moisture.

Great idea, needs improvement

I liked the thought of the item, and was excited to try it, however it stuck to the pastry and didn't lift out cleanly - half the pastry came out when lifting the shaper out :(

Oh no Fiona, sorry to hear. If your pastry is extra sticky, it might help to use extra flour to prevent this. Hope that helps.
